Park race circuit
Oulton
Park is situated in the heart of Cheshire. The race circuit is in
the grounds of Oulton Hall that were used as an army staging camp
during World War 2 before the Normandy Landings.
The
Oulton Park circuit is one
of the most famous and exciting tracks in the UK, the circuit was
built by the Mid Cheshire Car Club and it has a number of sections
to the circuit going up and down which create blind sections for
the drivers.
The
length of the Full Oulton Park circuit is 2.77 miles with 2 shorter
circuits also available, Island circuit being measured at 2.36 miles
and Fosters circuit measuring 1.65 miles.
Oulton
Park has undergone recent modernisation with new pits and facilities
being built. Some of top car racing events take place at Oulton
Park, such as the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) and British
Super Bikes. Oulton Park is part of the Brands
Hatch group.
