Single
Seater Race Cars
Single
Seater racing cars are the shape and style that most people associate
with motor sport. Single seater cars are used in their most commonly
seen form in Formula 1.
Down from Formula 1 cars there are other levels that use the same
shape but with varying engine sizes.
Single
seater race cars are also known as "Open Wheels cars"
as the wheels are situated outside of the body of the car unlike
on most vehicles you see day to day.
Single
seaters are designed with the cockpit as the area for the driver
to sit with their legs out straight in front of them towards to
front of the car where the pedals are, with just the drivers head
being outside of the car.
Due
to the design of single seater cars they offer some of the fastest
form of cars available, being light weight, low to the ground and
powerful they are designed to go as fast as possible around tracks.
